If you followed our last post we featured the 10th through the 6th best smartphones of 2013. Here is the remainder of our top 10 phone list of smartphones introduced in 2013. 5. LG G2

The LG G2 is by far the most powerful smartphone in the market today. Under the hood, the phone has a mighty Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 chipset with a quad-core 2.26 GHz Krait 400 processor. There is also 2 GB of RAM to handle even the most demanding tasks. The phone ventures close to phablet territory with a 5.2 inch True HD-IPS + LCD, with a Corning Gorilla Glass 2 sheet on top. The dazzling screen, with a pixel density of 424 ppi, is perfectly complemented by the Adreno 330 GPU. It features Dolby mobile sound enhancement for superior audio quality. The phone also has three buttons on its back to navigate, that can be assigned other functions as well. LG equipped its flagship phone with 13 MP shooter with optical image stabilization. The Xperia Z1 phone looks extremely robust, and is built to endure the elements with an IP 58 certified body. The body itself is made of glass and metal elements, giving the phone a premium feel. At the heart of the Z1 is a Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 chipset with a quad-core 2.2 GHz Krait 400 CPU. The phone has a 5-inch Full HD Triluminos display, with a pixel density of 441 ppi. The display is shielded by a protective layer of shatter-proof and scratch-resistant glass. The graphics on the phone are powered by an Adreno 330 GPU. The graphics are further enhanced by Sony’s X-Reality Engine. The phone runs on Android, 4.2 Jelly Bean. The phone features a massive 20.7 MP camera, along with a 2 MP camera for video calling. 3. HTC One

A truly premium device, the HTC One is encased in a high-quality aluminum body. The phone is very nifty, thanks to the Qualcomm APQ8064T Snapdragon 600 chipset, along with a quad-core 1.7 GHz Krait 300 processor. The phone has a 4.7 inch Super LCD3 display with Full HD resolution. This gives it a very impressive pixel density of 469 ppi. The display has Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection. The graphics are handled by an Adreno 320 GPU. The phone runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, and has the HTC Sense UI v5. It has a 4 MP camera with a 1/3” sensor. The latest iPhone has an Apple A7 chipset, and a dual-core 1.3 GHz Cyclone CPU. The phone has a 4-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD, with a resolution of 640×1136 pixels (326 ppi). The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, and has an oleophobic coating to keep fingerprints away from the screen. Samsung’s latest flagship device, the Galaxy S4 puts an even greater distance between it and its many rivals. The Galaxy S4 packs some of the best hardware available in the market today, and in true Samsung style brings in plenty of software tweaks. The phone has TouchWIZ 5.0 UI atop the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS. Smart Phones were HOT again in 2013 with demand on a steady climb. The market has been flooded with smart phones, with all the big players releasing their latest creation and current flagship device.  Each manufacturer trying to gain the attention of maximum consumers. Here is our list of the top 10 smartphones of 2013 counted down from 10 to 1. In this first installment we will cover phones ranked 10th through the 6th spot.

10. Nokia Lumia 1020

The latest Lumia is powered by a dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor, on a Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon chipset. It has a 4.5 inch AMOLED PureMotion HD+ ClearBlack display, with a resolution of 768×1280 pixels, and a pixel density of 332 ppi. The display is protected by a sheet of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. For its graphics, the phone has an Adreno 225 GPU. The USP of the phone is by far its imaging capabilities, with a massive 41 MP camera with a 1/1.5” sensor, and Nokia’s proprietary PureView technology. It also has a 1.2 MP camera for video calling. The first real Motorola phone with a Google touch, the Moto X is a truly beautiful device. The phone does not have a high-end spec sheet, but is still one of the most popular smartphones of 2013. Moto X comes with a dual-core 1.7 GHz Krait processor and a Qualcomm MSM8960Pro Snapdragon chipset. The phone has a 4.7 inch AMOLED display with 720p resolution (312 ppi pixel density). There is also Gorilla Glass to protect the display. The phone has an Adreno 320 GPU to render all the graphics. It features a 10 MP primary camera, and a 2 MP secondary camera for video calling. BlackBerry goes out with a bang with the Z10. The Canadian company has all but exited the handset business, but not without leaving us with a couple of really nice handsets. A dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor on a Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon handles all the operations of the phone. The phone features a 4.2 inch TFT screen, with a maximum resolution of 768×1280 pixels, and a pixel density of 355 ppi. For its graphics, the phone relies on an Adreno 225 GPU. The phone features an 8 MP primary, and a 2 MP secondary camera. It has 16 GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD cards. The Z10 runs the all new BlackBerry 10 OS, and is upgradable to v10.1. An 1800 mAh Li-Ion battery keeps the phone ticking.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 takes the legacy of the popular Note 2 forward, and is every bit cut out for the task. Powered by a quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset (Quad-core 1.9 GHz Cortex-A15 & quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 processor, and Exynos 5 Octa 5420 chipset on N9000), the Note 3 sure is a heavyweight. It also has a massive 3 GB of RAM. The Super AMOLED 5.7 inch Full HD display boasts of a pixel density of 386 ppi. Gorilla Glass 3 protects the display from scratches and major damage.
